To introduce the need for prayer, bible study, discipleship, and living a God Glorifying lifestyle to the body of Christ.
Vision:
To see a distinctive youth emerge from the church equipped with
the word of God and therefore not afraid to be the stand out Christian
we are called to be in 1 Peter 2:11, (Beloved, I urge you as aliens and
strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the
soul.)
Stand Out Ministries is more than just music, and by no means is it
only a form of entertainment. The music Stand Out Ministries puts out
is used to provide a sound track to what the ministry is all about. The
core of this ministry is the discipleship within the community, the
outreaches, and the encouragement and support of other faithful
believers. We live in a culture where most claim Christ, but do not
have the lifestyle to match. When we just take a snapshot of the first
century Christians, we see the relentless effort to serve God and
glorify him in all that they do. We see them endure the suffering and
persecution by keeping their minds focused on the glory to come, we see
them cherish the word of God and its teachings, we see them Stand Out
from the rest of the world! Now we it seems that we have forgotten that
as Christians we are outcast, and not even citizens here, (Philippians
3:19-20.) Stand Out Ministries seeks to expose this crucial point, and
challenge plus sharpen the believers to be transformed to the image of
Christ and not conformed to this world. We long to present the Gospel
of Jesus Christ to the world through our music, outreach, and
lifestyle. We realize the need for the young people in the body of
Christ. We long to leave the youth who are part of the church and yet
still caught up in the ways of the world to be without excuse: for not
being diligent in their study of God’s word, and not living to give God
Glory. We plan to do this by building one another up, then reaching out
to build up others through fellowship, prayer, bible studies, and
scripture alone. | |
